As a Maiden experiece to D.S. Sons, Dewol Maduwa held 8th of November brought novel expeirience  to Senanayaka Sons, Who Could Witness the Traditionally long rituals made for the god to invoke blessings and godly protechion on the school and the school community. under the auspices of Minister of culture, minister of  Education Hon Bandula Gunawardana, Prnicipal and distinquished guetes and well wishers, parents and Pupils, this Grandeur took place over night. Veteren Artist and Poetess Champani Devika ,one of the experienced   teachers of the  Aesthetic Department of  D.S.Senanayake College  has been bestowed  the Bunka (Cultural) Award 2011 at the  Award Ceremony of Japan Sri Lanka Friendship Cultural  Fund ,for her special acheivement in Art and poetry.

This ceremony was held for the 18th consecutive year on 22nd October 2011 at the Sri Lanka Rupawahini Corporation  under  the auspices  of Hon  Minister of Culture and Arts T. B. Ekanayake and

Honourable Ambassador of japan Nobuhito of Japan.

Aesthetic Department of D.S.Senanayaka College this time has Volunteered to experience a different accomplishment " Devol Maduwa" on   8th of  November at the school premises.The sole motive behind this great task is to invoke the bleesings by the Gods to the school Our Congrat ..................

Senanayakians became the runners up at the All Island Inter School Champianship Tournament and Individual Tournament , held at the St.Thomas Indoor stadium Mount Lavinia.

Our opponent Royalists had to under go a great Competition with our players.

A/L Science department of the D.S.Senanayake College became proven versatile culiberic pupils at the " THEEVRA" grand musical  miscellany , held at the BMICH on 1st of November with three successful show pieces including a school show.

This was held under the auspices of Hon.Minister of Post and Telecommunication Mr. Jeewan Kumaratunga and Hon. Western Province Minister  Mr Udaya Gammanpila ,Principal Mr. D.M.D.Dissanayake and Deputy Principals and Asst. Principals  and the distinguished guests.

This was a total success which depicted the aesthetic admiration of the science department.

Versatile Senanayakian players dominated the Wushu Arena  at the Wushu Championship  Tournament held recently  at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium.

Our Champion Player Gayesh Senewirathne snatched three  Gold Medals in  his set events and Tharindu  Siriwardhana  got Silver Medals

Our Hockey players became  Runners up beating 55 schools at the seven a side  Hockey Tournament held on the 15 th and 16 th of this month  at the Royal College  grounds.
