Highest Award In Scouting

D.S.Senanayake College is proud to announce that  three students  Pubudu Athukorala, Pavithra Jayasundara, Sirimewan Jayasundara were awarded the Presidents Award  by Mrs Shiranthi Rajapaksha Wife of the Hon  President of Sri Lanka  Mr Mahinda Rajapaksha at the recently held Scouts Camporee held  at  Vihara Maha Devi park.

Runners Up Award for DS Scouts

DS scouts troupe became the runners up dominating 35 Boy Scouts Troupes from all corners of the island  at the "Grren Eye"- Densil Kobbakaduwa Memorial  Challenge Trophy  orchestrated, in collaboration with  the Trinity College Scouts Troupe and Cadet Corps, concluded on 11th July 2009.

Our school Scouts troupe   emerged runners up  beating 35 schools  at the recently  concluded Adherence to Nature Competition 2008 organised by St Josephs Girls school  for the  4th consecutive year

Symbolising the  50th Radio Scouts Jamboree we, DS  Scouts  made the inception of introducing amateur Radio transmission  for the 1st time in South Asia,  coinciding with the commencement of a  Radio Station  "4S7  SE "  in the school premises to boon International relationship with the scouts world wide .

The Scouts - key factors of building all round pupils and citizens to the nation are making a major role mingling with the co-curricular and extra curricular activities of any school. This time the 60th Colombo Troup of D.S Senanayake College Scout Association is adding grandeur to their Association, organizing a camp fire with the title of Ginimalayen Wedikawata on 24 th of October with the participation of Boy scouts and Girl Guides from 30 schools , invited in the suburbs with the utmost objective of creating  stage worthy personalities from the outdoor performences.


60th COLOMBO Scout Troop

3 of our Scouts - President Scout Harith Manuja Perera, President Scout D.C Shashitha Hettiarachchi and Senior Scout D Supun Udara Hettiarachchi have been selected to represent Sri Lanka at the 21st World Jamboree held in Hydeland Park, London from 28th July o August 8th. They will be leaving for U.K tomorrow. Our congradulations for a happy tour.
