Our School  U/10 Chess  team  emerged  Champions   and the over all Champion ship were bagged by the Senanayake Chess Players at the "Brain Encounter Chess Championship 2010' held recently.

Senith Deelaka Munasinghe of D.S.Senanayake College bagged the Bronze Medal placing the 3rd place in Under 11 ASIAN Schools Intenational Chess Competition - 2008, represented by the leading Asian countries like Iraq, Siriya, United Arab Emirates, India & Sri Lanka. Gold Medal for represented countries was snatched by the players - Senith Deelaka Munasinghe & Nimantha Saranapala.

You D.S Sons - We felicitate & convey our congratulations  for the laurels, reaped for the motherland & the Alma Mater.....!

U/19 Chess Team was  able to achieve  the 2nd place  at the Chess Tournament  organised by the Ananda College Chess Club . Gold medals were bagged by Indika Anurudhdha, R A Kasun Anuranga, Dinushka Jayasuriya .

Our Chess Team of  Hirushaka Kodisinghe , Senura Keheliya, Senith Munasinghe, Nimantha Saranapala won the Team Chess Championship 2007 - U/ 12 event  at the Sri Lanka  National Speed Chess Tournament,  conducted by the Chess Federation of Sri lanka at Royal College Colombo
