Keeping to the concept of Speak English in our way in the state schools, D.S.Senanayake College launched this project in the year seven classes from 11th of January in 2010. The students response was up to the mark. We hope to proceed with this in the other classes also .May this project be a great success..............!

Subsequent to the launch of the 18 month road map by President Rajapaksa to promote spoken/communicative English skills in the country, the Bandaranaiyake Centre for International Studies (BCIS), in association with the Presidential Task Force on Teaching English and IT recently organized a symposium on ‘Speak English Our Way’ – a campaign launched recently with the objective of creating a paradigm shift towards speaking, learning and teaching English in Sri Lanka.

Blood donation campaign was organised by the Buddhist Society of D. S Senanayake College today at the school main hall. Many teachers , students, parents participated in this worthy cause. In connection with this, a sereis of first aid lectures were organised for teachers and students.
