Veteren Artist and Poetess Champani Devika ,one of the experienced teachers of the Aesthetic Department of D.S.Senanayake College has been bestowed the Bunka (Cultural) Award 2011 at the Award Ceremony of Japan Sri Lanka Friendship Cultural Fund ,for her special acheivement in Art and poetry.

This ceremony was held for the 18th consecutive year on 22nd October 2011 at the Sri Lanka Rupawahini Corporation under the auspices of Hon Minister of Culture and Arts T. B. Ekanayake and

Honourable Ambassador of japan Nobuhito of Japan.
