Spurred by the capture of the LTTE’s de facto capital Kilinochchi, D.S Senanayake College, together with the entire nation hailed lankan troops’ that achieved an incomparable victory entering the strong hold of L.T.T.E. -Kilinochchi and taking control of all major territorieslocations under the leadership of President Rajapakse - the commandent of the forces. The college management, under the guidance of the principal Dr. Asoka Senani Hewage hurriedly arranged a victory ceremony as a part of the Inaugural morning assembly of the academic year 2009. The staff and students observed a moment of silence respecting the martyrs of the Sri Lankan forces and all those who made their fullest dedications to achieve this task making supreme sacrifices and for the continuity of the final phase of this cold blooded war.
