DS Primary section one of the most spectacular Primary schools in the city was granted with a new building complex by the inauguration of the second phase of the four storied building complex which is already in function with 2 stories.

This grand occasion was declared open with a commerative plaque at 7.30 a.m on 28th of April in 2011 by the Honourable Minister of Education Mr Bandula Gunawardhana and the Honourable Minister of Enviornment Mr Udaya Gammanpila . The most important inspiring momentum was the pledge by the Honourable Minister of Education , that he would provide 98 lakhs for this worthy cause and would definitely attend the opening ceremony of this complex in 3 months time. Also it is appreciable that he would call for a discourse with the SDS members for the completion of the renovation work to the R.I.T Alles Hall.

For this ceremonial occasion , Principal Mr D.M.D Dissanayake, Deputy Principals , Assistant Principals Primary Principal and the Primary sectional Head participated.
