With leading curricular & co-curricular events, DSSC has  been able to proudly win the Gold Medal for Best Annual Report & Accounts Competition of National Schools - 2009 (Annual Report & Accounts for the year ended 31 st December 2008), achieving  the Titles of  District  First and the All Island first,  presented by the Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka in collaboration with the Ministry of Education.This achievement is greater because, while conquering most of the curricular & co-curricular achievements to the college this year, it has been able to gain this International level standard in the fields of Accounts which is very sensitive in ongoing process of correct Auditing and Administrative transparency, usually full of loop holes and under  criticism by the Accounting technicians and its corporate establishments. This is highly praise worthy and all round since it has been tested in many peripheries like,

There is no doubt, if any school keeps to these criteria, it would be essentially able to mark the Zenith among the rest, especially enhancing the quality of the financial statement of the school development society, that would finally depict how the school, as a national school maximally used the resources available for the entire satisfaction of the school community and even to the budgetary allocation for the education by the government.DSSC has been highly luminous this year too as a perfect educational establishment  (National award winner of Best Annual Report & Accounts Competition of National Schools - 2009)  displaying the versatile caliber of the management with the prime leadership of the  Principal  Dr  Ashoka  Senanai  – Hewage    the pillar  of  the  great  success.   The co-operation of SDS Secretary and Finance Committee with this regard is highly appreciated
