Keeping abreast with various numeurous versatalities in curricular and co- curricular activities , Senanayakians - Biology streamers, have brought laurels to the Alma Mater bagging 3 gold medals by a single school out of 18 Gold Medals at the recently concluded Sri Lanka Biology Olympiad 2009 .

They also won 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal totally altogether 5 medals from 83 medals . Ours achievement is so excellent , being DS Senanayake is the only school among all the other schools in the island to win 3 gold medals alone .

The gold medalists are Buddhika Gayan Madusanka, Dulshan Chaturanga Jayasinghe,Ishan Dharshana Wijewardhane .

Manod Pabasara Gamage, Udai Bandara Gunewardhana won the Silver and Bronze Medals respectively.

The Teacher instructors are Mrs Chamila Ukwatte , Mr Densil Edirisinghe and the Sectional Head is Mr Bernard Silva.
