Our college under 15 Basket Ball team emerged 1st Runner-up at the recently concluded 'A' Division All Island Inter School Basket Ball Championship boys under 15 , beating 16 top schools in the arena.

DSSC team was able to beat Maliyadewa who were the under 13 champions last year, At quarter finals 74 to 57. Nafeel Jalaldeen (30 points)and Devin Ariyakumara(captain) ( 16 points) lead the team for victory against the strong maliyadevians. At the Semi finals D.S.S.C encountered to St’ Sebastian’s and was beaten by Sebastian’s 41 to 57. At the Consolation finals D.S.S.C regaining their pride by beating Mahanama College for 72 to 43. Again Nafeel Jalaldeen (26 points)and Isira Hiripitiya ( 20 points) leading the team for the victory.
