Flourishing DSSC under new “Sri Lanka” New Projects at D.S.Senanayake College Colombo 7 Dear Parents/ Old Boys/ Well Wishers,
Five new projects are just started and thriving at DS with the sole perception of making her sons stepping to the modern world and new Sri Lanka under the plan of Vision 2020 which immensely contribute towards moulding a perfect citizen to the country and finally to the world. DSSC being a speedy progressing school to fulfil all the curricular , co-curricular and extra curricular requirements in requisite of the pupils, cordially invites you to contribute this worthy cause -following projects
1 Two storeyed building project
This is a much needy and anticipated program to the College, which provides the spaces for office space, bus parking, Pavilion, POG Room PTI, Room , Prefects Room , Media and SDS Offices .
This would pave the way to strengthen the DSSC Physical Resources adding more colour and pride to the remaining constructions .

2 Multi Media Auditorium – Science Section
The existing auditorium will be converted into a multi media auditorium with a facelift. This will be a renovating project much needed to the future scientists . The whole project will include refurbishing the existing auditorium with multi media equipment , Air conditioning facility and a new ceiling , Aluminium doors and windows, new seatings, audio video facilities and much more.

3 Multi Media Lab for Commerce Section
For the convenience of the students of the Commerce Stream, presently visit the main multi media lab for their studies , this would be a forecourt for them to leisurely continue their studies under one roof attached to their relevant section . This would be another much anticipated requirement of the A/L Commerce students .as the science students.
4 New IT lab for 10- 11 Students
To mark the Year 2009 being the year of English and Information Technology DSSC is ready to face the challenge and achieve the set targets by constructing a new IT lab for Year 10 and 11 students becoming the first thriving school to make all the sections possess with IT labs .

5 Carbon Free Primary Project
With a great pride, DSSC introduces the first pilot project - a brain wave of the Principal Dr Ashoka Senani Hewage, first ever to be introduced in a school premises to prevent the students from all environmental hazards .
